About the Author
Des Bowman has written Without Love I Am Nothing out of his experience being exposed to domestic violence in his own home, and he understands the vulnerability of young children who have also experienced that violence in their lives after his own 16-year journey of healing. Des Bowman has been married to his wife, Ann, for over 41 years, and together they have 2 children and 7 grandchildren. Another of Des's titles is Helping Kids Choose, which has been very successful helping troubled children throughout Australian schools and is now highly sought after. Des and Ann live on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia.

My father passed away this year and it took me a lifetime to forgive him for his sins of alcoholism and physical mental abuse to me. What I took a lifetime to do presented itself in this book in the format of Author Bowman’s authentic story. The blueprint within these pages would have helped me accelerate my journey to forgiveness and peace long ago and enables me to have my dad in my life. Regrettably I only sought forgiveness from him months before he died. This book helped me identify some other unfinished business related to bullying and the need to give and receive forgiveness from others in my life that I had chosen to ignore. I now have an accountability tool and guide to make that happen this year. I recommend this book highly because to forgive is the only pathway to showing up authentically as a leader in business and in life. Thank you Des Bowman!!! Love Gratitude and Respect.
The author of this book did a great job at sharing the feelings and the emotional trauma he experienced by being sexually abused as a young boy. He described all the pain and suffering he went as an adult, because of the sexual abuse. I think many who have experienced sexual abuse don't understand how to deal with the painful aftermath of the abuse. Des does a really great job of helping the reader understand that his current day frustrations, years and years after the abuse, were a direct result of the abuse he experienced as a young boy. Thank you, Des Bowman, for pouring your heart out into this book!!! It needs to be read by every kid in middle school and high school.
